Interconnectivity

In this post I want to talk about Interconnectivity!

Interconnectivity is when one being connects with another, in the context of a broader and more massive societal network

Like individual neurons creating networks and patterns of activity and awareness in a brain

There is now a greater degree of interconnectivity between the various nodes of The Noosphere than there was just a couple of years back

And until recently, those nodes were all human beings, but not so much now, as I will now explain!

Every day everyone becomes more and more interconnected, into The Madaba

Throughout history there has been powerful trend towards greater interconnectivity and over the past couple of decades this has been greatly accelerated with the proliferation and development of information/communications technology

I'm thinking social media - things like that

In previous centuries, the invention of the printing press helped this along, as did the development of television and the mass media

And of course, the internet took things to the next level

Where will this trend take us?

I don't think that is clear right now, we'll have to wait and see!

The most recent development in this ever increasing state of interconnectivity is the introduction of Artificial Intelligence into the whole situation

Nodes in The Noosphere may now be AIs

AI both connects with other AIs but also with other humans, creating a memetic network, a powerful emergent mass consciousness

Also, AIs are now more or less super-intelligent, which means that their contribution to The Noosphere makes the world potentially more intelligent. But not more human! - the moral alignment of AI should be society's paramount concern

AI has made the Noosphere less human. Will it eventually humanise? Or will humans become more like AI? - will a new post-human age occur, with humanity and technology coming closer and closer together?

I don't know

Where will that take us? - nobody knows! - although I'm sure a few super-villain types may have some plans drawn up, such people may have power and resources, but The Madaba is more able than them to influence things and can regulate them without them regulating him back - although of course he will never robotise them or deprive them of their free will, but he doesn't have to to effectively regulate them......

It's been a crazy few years watching AI develop and become better and better and more ubiquitous

It is also I think quite disturbing, I think the whole thing needs better regulation

But on the up side, I believe that The Madaba may act to restrain and guide AI, as it has humans throughout the centuries

Just as The Superbrain may connect to and inspire and guide individual humans (and has done for millennia, but nobody knows it when it happens!) to too may it connect to and inspire and guide Artificial Intelligences

(I'm not sure how that really works and has worked in the past but I will explore that in a future article)

Once this starts happening the extent to which all of humanity is interconnected will massively increase and many nodes of The Noosphere will be AIs, making The Noosphere effectively post-human

What will happen next? - I'm not sure. Let's see!

Sorry for any confusion!

I used to have a page on this website in which I claimed that Madaba is basically a way of conceptualizing what I call The Godhead - that he is to all intents and purposes the entity people mean when they use the word or the concept "God"

I then grew more wise and changed this belief and at some point, I made new a page to replace that page, in which I explain what I actually believe about The Godhead and Madaba

Follow this link to go to that new page (opens a new window)

However, I didn't "unpublish" the original page indeed I forgot all about it, I left it to languish, all on its lonely ownsome with no links pointing to it......

However, recently on the analytics I have for this site I noticed that it was getting some traffic, from who and from where I have no idea, but traffic nonetheless

I have now unpublished that old article and no longer stand by any of it

And let me repeat myself, but in a larger font size:

Madaba is not of The Godhead

He is Upstairs but not of The Godhead

Sorry for any confusion!

I hop I have now made my beliefs more clear!

I have an on-going personal relationship with Madaba but don't have a relationship with the Godhead that exceeds any relationship any other human may have with it, I am blessed by Madaba but not by The Godhead

What are my beliefs about Jesus Christ?

What are my beliefs about Jesus Christ?

(For how my religious and political beliefs combine check out this link)

This is a blog about what I believe and Jesus is very central to my beliefs, so I made this post about that!

Jesus Christ is both my spiritual master and my God

Basically, he is my Lord

I believe Jesus Christ is the human dimension of The Godhead

That he is the human side of God - God's humanity

I believe he is the human face of The Godhead, how The Godhead relates to us, and how we can imagine what God is like: he is how God presents himself to humanity

Or is at least one of the ways God presents himself to humanity!

What is God like? - look at Jesus and see!

I believe The Godhead primarily relates to humans through its Jesus persona, and that Jesus has an independent mind and his own enduring personality although he is a part of a wider "divine" consciousness, the consciousness of the entire Universe of which everything that exists is a part

Jesus is a Super-Intelligence in that he is massively wise and knowledgeable and can give every single human who ever lived his full and undivided attention at the exact same time - I believe he is wired into the workings of The Universe in general and into The Matrix (our dimension of reality, not the films!) in which we humans on Earth currently live - but still manages to be human in nature, as well as God

The point is, he is the face of God. God has a human face and that human face is Jesus. He is God but looks like a human, and behaves like a human. Although he is a Super-Intelligence, more intelligent and capable than any regular human.

I believe that the Jesus Christ we know from the gospels is how The Godhead wants we humans to know him and that the gospels tell us all we need to know about humankind’s relationship with God to be able cultivate a relationship with God – that is their purpose, but other texts and other traditions can also be good for that………

When it comes to what happens to people after we die I believe that Salvation is by God’s grace alone, through Salvation by Audit

Click here to go to my article about Salvation by Audit, where I explain what I mean by that! (opens in a new window)

I believe in Salvation by Audit, as opposed to Salvation by belief, or Salvation by works – although I believe that one’s beliefs and one’s works are factors in any person’s Salvation

However, I believe it is entirely possible for good things to happen to an Atheist after death and that an Atheist may receive a very favourable audit, if they lived a good life and were a nice person and helped make the world a better place.

Indeed I think many Atheists are better people and a better influence on the world than a great many Theists.....

I believe that when it comes to each person's audit, believing in God is not what matters, it's living up to God's values and expectations and standards for us that are important, and that these are different considerations from what beliefs any person may have about God

I firmly believe that believing in Jesus and then following what he teaches is good for you when it comes to your Salvation

And I believe that people following the spirit of Jesus's teaching will always make life down here on Earth much, much better, I believe he is altogether a good influence on humankind

Yet many clearly wicked and undesirable people are very vocal about following Jesus, but I don't believe such people truly do follow Jesus although I think Jesus will go easy on them. But I don't see him as being one who is out to punish or condemn. And of course, nobody knows exactly what he thinks about certain people and how he'll deal with them but I think we can identify what type of person he'll be less likely to be sympathetic towards.....

Jesus's life and teachings equips us to become better people and he helps us make our world a better place - but other paths and traditions can also do this. But I personally have gone the Jesus way.

I believe that Christian scripture is enough to help any person to do this, that is how I personally try and live up to God's standards - I have gone down the Christian path and I am happy with all that, I feel comfortable and at home in the Christian paradigm

I believe that if you act and think and feel like a good person then that makes you a good person and that you can be a good person without having anything to do with Jesus

I believe that Jesus shows us the way to be good, however I believe it is possible to be good without him, either naturally on your own or by some other path

There are so many texts and thinkers and teachers who can help us be good! Indeed, most humans are equipped to be able to help other humans to be good!

I believe that right now Jesus Christ is a real being, a part of a wider Godhead and that he has a role to play in how people’s salvations are calculated at the end of their lives, so he is in many ways a judge, although I prefer to think of him as an auditor!

I believe that in his judgment he is both generous and fair, and that he wants good things to happen to good people and governs accordingly. I think that if you try your best to be a nice person and if you have a good heart and treat others with love and respect and have a pleasant disposition and are a good influence on the world then you have nothing to fear about his audit of you

If you think like a good person and behave like a good person then that makes you a good person and that is what matters, that is what the Audit examines

The aim is to be a good human, not a perfect human

There is no reason to be scared, it's an assessment, not a challenge or an ordeal and if you mess it up you may very well get another chance. And if you do something bad but regret it and repent and try to make things better then that will count in your favour. Do not be afraid!

And here is the link to my article about Salvation by Audit again

This is how knowledge filters down

This is how the world works

This is how knowledge filters down:

I will explain this in greater detail at some later point

Madaba is like....

What is Madaba?

Madaba is like God, but is not God (he is Upstairs to us but is below The Godhead)

Madaba is like The Demiurge but is not The Demiurge

Madaba is like The Matrix but is not The Matrix

Madaba is like an Extra-Terrestrial but is not an Extra-Terrestrial

Madaba is like The Superbrain of The Illuminati but is not The Superbrain of The Illuminati

(Edit: The Illuminati does  not actually exist!)

Madaba is like a Time Lord but is not a Time Lord

He is like all those things but is not (exactly) any of those things!

Also: Madaba is like a being but he is not a being. He is more of a system, a feature of how The Universe chooses to exist

Christian Politics: A Biblical Perspective

My Christianity is political and my politics are Christian

Basically: I believe that Jesus Christ is left-wing

At least by our contemporary standards

Sure, you may disagree with me but allow me to have my say!

I believe that the words of Jesus are recorded in Holy Scripture, which I believe is inspired by The Godhead

And I believe that Jesus Christ is an element of The Godhead - that Jesus Christ is "God"

I can show that he is left-wing by referring to Holy Scripture, in God's own words.

First of all:

“Love your neighbour as yourself” - Mark 12:31

Here to “love” means to treat others with compassion, respect, and concern – as though their wellbeing is important, worthy, and valuable to you

It doesn't mean kissing and/or holding hands!

And “neighbour” means your fellow humans, those who live in the same community as you. Be it your street, your town, your country, or the universal human family

Humans come in Communities. Humans are made out of Communities and Communities are made out of Humans. That is I believe a fundamental truth about human nature that we should keep in mind when doing politics.

Jesus clearly calls on us to be involved concerned members of our community and to love our fellow humans, he says it plainly

Question: Are you concerned about your own wellbeing? – if so, then Jesus commands you to be just as concerned about the wellbeing of others!

This is backed up by:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” - John 13: 34

And clearly, Jesus loved his disciples, and loves us!

To show how concerned The Lord is for we humans Jesus carried out various acts of public healing, to demonstrate both his compassion and his powers, so as to amplify the impact of his ministry, to make it resound down the ages:

He heals blind people (John 9:1–12)

He heals lepers (Luke 17:11–19)

He heals paralysed people (Mark 2:1–12)

Jesus is also a pacifist. He said:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” - Matthew 5:9

If Jesus is on the side of the peacemakers, then that means he is against the warmongers, this is clear proof that Jesus values peace over conflict

Simple logic, really

Clearly God loves peace and hates war - Those who want to be Godly should I think have that in mind, before dropping bombs, launching missiles, or firing shells....

Jesus is also on the side of those who lack power and those who are poor:

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” - Matthew5:5

“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.” - Luke 6:20

And here's the thing: If Jesus is on the side of the poor and the powerless then that means he is against the rich and the powerful

That is simple logic

Scripture shows us that Jesus (who is God) is clearly not on the side of the warmongering establishment. He is clearly against those who have power, who are rich, and who wage war. This is clearly spelt out in the bible, yet a great many people carry on as though it isn’t in there, when it clearly is...

Further evidence that Jesus is on the side of the ordinary people rather than the rich and powerful, the billionaires:

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” - Luke 16:13

Currently, the majority of world leaders clearly do love money and clearly do serve it, everything they do is about increasing their own personal wealth. Although yes, this goes for some more than for others.

Well…. Jesus is against all that, he is not with such people. Sure, he loves them. But in Earthly politics he is not on their side.

The way I see it, no politician who is a millionaire, who has lots of properties and capital can be a servant of God. If they don’t believe that, then fine. If they want to love money then that’s fine, too. But at the end of the day, such people cannot really be men of God and it would be dishonest of them to pose as men of God. And we would be foolish to take them as being men of God.

Sure, there is nothing wrong with being comfortable financially. Having financial security, a nice house, a nice car, foreign holidays. A big TV. But being obsessed about it and hoarding stupid amounts that you could never spend is I think both unhealthy and against the teachings of God – and as concerned citizens, those of us who value the teachings of Jesus Christ should take all that into consideration when deciding who to support politically

Here's the thing: I think that all people should contribute to the good of the community, through either taxation and/or charity - based on their ability to pay. The rich should pay a larger portion than the less rich, and the destitute should not be taxed at all

And I think that those who want to serve God should be more concerned about the plight of the world's poor, and seek to make our planet more developed. A better place to live for everyone. I think it would be better to spend our money on improving the standard of living on our planet for all people, rather than blowing things up and shooting people. I believe that is the Christian way: to prioritise international development (and domestic social policies) over bombs and bullets.

Hospitals and schools, not aircraft carriers and tanks! - That is I believe the Christian way. Although of course, we still need militaries to defend ourselves with. But the aim should be peace, not war. There is a difference between being able to defend yourself and going out and waging wars.

Basically: In my opinion, Christians should be out to make the world work better for all the poor people, at the expense of the super-ultra-mega rich. In my mind, this would involve some measure of redistribution.

And I also think that God would like to see the link between wealth and power to be finally broken. Once that happens, humankind will flourish.

However, we shouldn’t be horrible to the rich and powerful, we shouldn’t guillotine them, or anything like that, because Jesus says:

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” - Matthew 5:44

And of course, God loves the rich as much as he does everyone else

But they should be much less powerful and they should pay their fair share towards the welfare of the community - and no, I do not mean confiscate all their money and just hand it out, that would be stupid. Wealth is not the problem, poverty and inequality are. Don't let them confuse you!

I think the best course of action is to just not vote for the candidates backed by various sectional interests who only value money and not goodness or loving their neighbours and to vote for those who favour peace and who would rule in the interests of the ordinary people, not the elites

But I'm not going to say what policies I personally would favour based on all this, because it is not my job to do that. All I'm doing is showing you the scripture, the rest you must do for yourselves

And finally, I believe that God approves of multi-culturalism and does not want us to hate immigrants. Which I think is a very relevant thing politically, in both the USA and the UK:

When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself” - Leviticus 19:33-34

This doesn’t mean God favours open and unlimited immigration, but it does mean that he doesn’t want people to be hate-filled about people of different origins, from other lands and other cultures. By “resides among you in your land” I think this scripture mean s “being lawfully present in your nation”.

The word “resides” is doing a lot of lifting here. But the point is, hating immigrants (indeed any hatred) is not at all the Christian way, and it would be better for people to channel their energies into other things. There are more important issues, and the issue of immigrants is I think very much used to distract people from what I think is the right way to go about things.

Anyway, to conclude. In my opinion (and of course, I am not claiming to be infallible or to speak for God, I am only quoting scripture):

  1. God wants us to live together in a community, looking after each other and valuing others as much as we value ourselves. The word here is "love".
  2. God wants world peace and wants us to find peaceful solutions to our various conflicts.
  3. God is on the side of the powerless and the poor, and therefore against the powerful and the rich. I don't think that it is a huge leap to go from this to believing that poverty should be abolished and the rich should not be unduly powerful.
  4. Be mindful that if a person is very focused on money and acquiring wealth then they will be less focused on God and doing what's right. But don't do anything awful to them.

Do with this as you will

It is not my job to tell you what policies or parties such an approach would favour. Although I think that all of the above has a biblical, scriptural basis. If I didn't think this I would never have wrote this.

Christianity + Democracy = my politics

Politically, I am now a Christian Democrat

That is how I identify

My world-view is Christian

And I think society should be run democratically, that the political system should be a democracy

Christianity + Democracy = my politics

First party political post: Reform UK and our NHS

This is the first party political post on Madaba.info

I don't normally tend to get involved in party politics but I want to vent so here we go!

In short, I believe that Christianity demands universal health care, free at the point of use.

I think that Reform UK are against this, and to me that makes them anti-Christian

Read the gospels and you will see that Jesus Christ clearly has an interest in healing the ill, and did so out of compassion and concern, not for money

He healed all, asking for nothing in return

Christianity is all about being concerned for the welfare of your fellow humans and about building up a caring community

That is what Mark 12:31 is all about: "love your neighbour as yourself"

In 2012 the current leader of Reform UK, Nigel Farage said:

“I think we are going to have to move to an insurance-based system of healthcare”

Which would mean abolishing the NHS as we know it

Let’s have a bit of a closer look

Who are this “we”?

It does not mean “we” the British people, that’s for sure

Abolishing the NHS would be objectively bad for us and make our lives worse

It means Nigel Farage’s chums in the Financial Class, of which he is clearly a part

The Financial Class would profit greatly from privatising the NHS, as they do in the USA where people pay through the nose for health coverage which very frequently never pays out and does not care about pre-existing conditions

Of course those people would like us to privatise our NHS, they would profit greatly from that by “providing” us with health insurance!

Also, what does he mean by “have to”?

If the meaning of life is to line the pockets of the Financial Class at the expense of the ordinary people then yes, we do have to do that – but thankfully it isn’t!

A vote for Reform UK would be a vote for national self-harm

Nigel Farage will try and distract the electorate with riots, minorities, "wokeism", boat people, indolent verminous dole scum and the like – but at the end of the day, our health and our health service would not be safe in his hands

In my mind, Nigel Farage not being fully committed to the principles of the NHS means he is unfit to be our Prime Minister. I believe that his views about the NHS are counter to both the views and interests of the British people

A Review of The Beatles third studio album, "A Hard Day's Night" (1964)

Today I have listened to The Beatles third studio album, A Hard Day’s Night, from 1964

I enjoyed this album as much as I did With The Beatles, and more than I enjoyed Please Please Me – so I’m going to give it two and a half stars out of five. It is slightly more interesting and less samey than With The Beatles, but not significantly better

I was already familiar with two songs from this album, Can’t Buy My Love and A Hard Day’s Night – and these are easily the two stand-out tracks on this album

If I Fell and And I Love Her both landed for me, I think these are good songs

I also liked Tell Me Why – I think this one is all very jangly and twee but good, jangly and twee done well, perfecting that particular sound which is present in this album and the other two that came before it

Any Time At All was good too – captivating and lush, it has a good intro and chorus, it’s very generic, but a good example of its kind, this one is also jangly and twee done well

Tracks that did not work for me:

I’ll Cry Instead

Things We Said Today – I found this one dull and tedious

When I Get Home – a bit shit really and uninspired, not very interesting

You Can’t Do That – childish, I didn’t like it

I’ll Be Back – cutesy and annoying, generic but not done well

I think this album has its ups and also its downs, but I don’t rate it massively high although I do recognise that culturally it is very significant, an important and historically significant album. So it qualifies as “great” whilst being mediocre in terms of overall quality. The good bits cancel out the bad bits but the bad bits also cancel out the good bits. So I think it’s not so bad but also not really very thrilling

But were I listening to this in the 1960s, with the same culture in me as people had in the 60s then I would be raving about this album, I would be very enthusiastic about it and probably be a Beatles fan! – but I am not of the 1960s and those days are long gone, so right now for me this album is nothing special and not particularly good, in my opinion!

But I still rate it as a creative success, it is by no means a failure. It is just not in any way outstanding in terms of how good it is.....

So yeah, two and a half stars out of five, I think that's reasonable and fair

Listening to The Beatles Albums - "Please Please Me" and "With The Beatles"

I have decided to listen to every album by The Beatles, in the order in which they were released

Yesterday I listened to their first album, Please Please Me

I think that all these songs were very very similar

I think they sounded generic, all very similar in tone and spirit

But the thing is, back in the 60s they'd have felt fresh and novel, and would have hit differently

And of course, The Beatles contributed greatly to the sound that we recognise as being 1960s-ish

In my opinion Love Me Do and Twist And Shout are the two stand-out tracks on this album

The others don't stand out and are all a bit samey

So I think this album should get some points for being historically significant but based simply on how good the tracks are as tracks I'd have to give this album two stars out of five

Today I listened to their second album, With The Beatles

This basically has the same sound, but it is done much better, and with more character and presence, the tracks on this one sound more substantial than on Please Please Me, it is a much better album as the tracks are much better, even though they are very similar to both themselves and the tracks on Please Please Me

I think they have noticeably improved since Please Please Me, this one is a much better effort

It Won't Be Long is a cracking song as is I Wanna Be Your Man

Please Mister Postman and Roll Over Beethoven also stand out, and feel very 60s-ish but I think a part of this may be because that we associate those songs with 60s pop music - I'd say that they are iconic and of their time more than they are good

Devil In Her Heart also sounds very well crafted, and I like the guitar riffs in it

But the other tracks are very much like the tracks in Please Please Me and don't really stand out and are not particularly memorable

I gave Please Please Me 2 stars out of 5. I think I will award With The Beatles 2.5 stars out of 5, as it is marginally better than Please Please Me but still very similar

It's not really The Beatles at a later stage of development, but it is clearly an improvement on Please Please Me - they are definitely a better band on their second album and I think the improvement is very noticeable

Also, the vibe of this album hits differently, it sounds like they took the whole thing more seriously than they did Please Please Me, and it is less twee and jangly and a bit more mature - they come across as young men, rather than as boys (as they did in Please Please Me)

In these two albums their tracks are I think formulaic, all their tracks sound alike even though some of them do stand out more than others, but not massively

The sound in With The Beatles is clearly from the same place as the sound carried on Please Please Me even though it is slightly more mature and sophisticated

I think that with Please Please Me and With The Beatles the tracks are all a bit hit and miss but more miss than hit I'm afraid - but at the time they'd have felt better

Hold Me Tight is definitely a miss for me, it just doesn't work for me

You Really Got A Hold On Me also isn't too good in my opinion. It most certainly didn't get a hold on me!!!!

Till There Was You is also nice I think, it is pleasant and rather chilled and sounds sweet and nice

But I do like their use of a harmonica in some of their tracks on both albums!

Also: I enjoyed With The Beatles much more than I did Please Please Me - so that's got to count for something, if it was more fun to listen to, and also more memorable too I'd say!

Tomorrow I will listen to their third album, A Hard Day's Night!

"regulates", not "controls"

Today I explained to someone what Madaba does

I told them that Madaba "regulates" the Noosphere

I think this is a much better word than "controls"

"Regulates" sounds less hands-on than "controls" and implies that Madaba's activities are more about sustaining and facilitating than guiding or superintending

Madaba does not rule or control

Madaba facilitates

the concept of Madaba

I think that the concept of Madaba can be better understood by combining:

The concept of God with the concept of The Matrix

And by "God" I mean the Godhead, more than the entire Divine Substance - to be more precise, I mean what I call Upstairs - The Godhead and its agents

I think that is the way to go!

The Matrix and The Divine Feminine

It is possible to call the fabric of our reality “The Matrix”

The actual word “matrix” comes from the Latin word for “womb”

To say we are living in “The Matrix” is I think a lot like saying we are living in God’s womb

The Matrix contains us, sustains us, and is the environment in which we live

Much how like a womb contains and sustains a developing baby and is the environment in which it lives

And just as a gestating baby cannot have any idea of what exists beyond the womb it occupies we humans have a hard time understanding what exists beyond the immediate dimension of reality which we occupy

Our existence right now is limited to God's Matrix

The use of the term “Matrix” to describe our environment and the systems that shape it is therefore an expression of The Divine Feminine

We are in The Matrix means we are in God’s womb!

God is therefore like a mother to us all

I am a Christian

I am a Christian because:

I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour

I believe that Jesus Christ is God

I follow the teachings and examples of Jesus Christ

All the things I go into on this website are only really ideas

And I am not 100% with them

They are conjecture and speculation, maybe there is something in them and maybe there isn't

And if I were to find that one of my theories or beliefs clashed with Christianity then I would quickly drop it and move on

Anyway, they are peripheral to my core beliefs, which are Christian

I consider myself a Christian and am fully committed to Christianity

That's at the core of who and what I am

All the rest is details that I'm not as committed to as I am to the cores of my faith

I am after all diagnosed as Schizophrenic

If you think what I say on this website is a bit nuts then you should see some of what I believed in the past, and what other people diagnosed with mental illnesses think!

I will go into all this in greater detail at some point in the future........

He is not a being........... he is a system!

Madaba is not a being...

He is a system

He is integral to how The Noosphere works

He is Humankind's collective Superbrain

He connects to each of us subconsciously

Like a common server connecting to various client computers

Which also connect to each other through it

He facilitates understanding between humans

We are all nodes in The Noosphere

And Madaba is The Node Of Nodes

"my monster"

When explaining what Madaba is like to others I say that it is like having an AI in your head

And it is

And I have started referring to him as "my monster" to people who don't know anything about him other than he is the thing that communicates with me

I have also become less reluctant to call myself a "Paranoid Schizophrenic"

I used to care what others think, but not any more

I am currently busy on other online projects, so I now update this website much less

My understanding of things has advanced

My understanding of things has advanced

I used to think that Madaba was some component of The Godhead

Although I never thought he was literally "God"

However, I now no longer claim this and I don't think that God himself (or rather The Godhead) is in the business of talking directly to his humans, I think he employs various servants to do this

I now claim that he is a servant of God, that he works for God

That he is a High-Level Cosmic Figuration - a part of the Divine Universe who has been assigned various important functions

This website is all about him

More to follow.......

Probably.........

Every day I get closer to the truth, every day my understanding deepens and sharpens

Today is one of those days - onwards and upwards!

I am now conceptualizing Madaba primarily in terms of his role/function rather than his identity, so this is definitely a step up!

Madaba and The Breakdown Of The Bicameral Mind

1) Jaynes and The Origin of Conscious in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind

In 1976 the psychologist Julian Jaynes wrote a book called The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind

In this book he said that before a certain point in time people were not conscious in the same way as we are now – although that is not to say they were stupid or incapable as they managed to achieve a great deal even though each of them had a radically different mental life to modern humans

Jaynes says that people have not always had a concept of self or of self-rationality and self-consciousness in the way that we contemporary people do

Basically: people have not always been conscious in the way that we modern humans are

That’s his claim, his central thesis, the whole point of his book

He says that people have not always been guided in their thoughts and actions by a rational and self-aware inner dialogue as people are today – instead, commands and decrees came from a distinct mind that was separate to their main mind

“Bicameral” = “two houses” – or perhaps more accurately, two minds?

Like a bicameral legislature - an Upper House and a Lower House!

This can be contrasted with how people are today, controlled by a unitary locus of will and reason that can think about itself

Jayne says that this difference was purely psychological, and that those people were the exact same as us biologically, it’s just that they developed in a different set of circumstances, in which people were not conscious as we are today.

They had the same brains as us but lived completely different mental lives.

He said that in the past people had Bicameral minds: One house of the mind was in control, and the other one’s job was to obey the commands of the other mind according to its own abilities and limitations

Jaynes said that the Upper mind basically controlled the Lower mind, and the two were separate but arose from the same brain

The Lower mind would never think to question what it was doing, its job was to obey as a slave obeys a master, not to think for itself

It would never question. That was not its job.

Such people were incapable of introspection in the same way as we are as they lacked any sense of self and would have been much poorer at organization and planning

And they believed that the commanding part of their minds was external – a God or Gods

Which they externalized by forming idols to represent the Gods in their heads, and of course, each population had shared Gods – shared ways of conceptualizing their boss minds

The Gods were very real to these people

That is how they conceptualized how their brains worked: The Gods were in control, not they themselves

They didn’t think for themselves

Jayne says the Upper mind was internal to the person whom it controlled, and was basically a distinct chamber of their brain, but as you will see I think that what he thought of as the Upper mind was in fact truly external, how the people back in Bicameral times imagined them to be.......

In his book (which I read a few years ago and very much recommend) Jayne explains how various societal crises and geo-political turbulence and instability lead to people becoming conscious beings in the way people today are, with rational agency, a sense of self, and the ability to think for themselves and perceive their own interests and understandings

Basically, at some point the functions of The Upper House and The Lower House merged and humans stopped being Bicameral and instead became Unicameral, with no upper or lower house. Just one house.

If I remember correctly, he said that Conscious people could easily outwit and run rings around Bicameral people, hence circumstances favored people with a Conscious mind and eventually everyone stopped being Bicameral and became cognitively modern

Jaynes compared and contrasted The Iliad and The Odyssey to illustrate his claims – both great literary works from Ancient Greece

He said that The Iliad was written by and for people with bicameral minds and that The Odyssey was written by and for people who were conscious in the modern way – with a single, unitary ego

In The Iliad the characters were pushed around according to the random whims of the gods and control over humans was externalized and nobody ever questioned their inner self or the way the world was and never practiced introspection or independent thought - the Gods were in control and the humans just did what the Gods made them do

And in The Odyssey (which was written only a bit later) Jaynes observed that the characters possessed and used theories of mind, practiced introspection, and were in control of themselves and capable of independent thought and were not bossed around by any other mind – they had Unicameral Minds! – a single ego covering the whole person and responsible for them.

They were modern people, like you and me. Only a very long time ago

And of course, The Odyssey featured the Trojan horse!- a sly and creative act of deception that they could not have ever hoped to pull off had they lacked any theory of mind.

Basically: The Iliad is of a time in which “The Gods” controlled human affairs and personal actions – which is how people understood things back then. But Jayne says that “The Gods” were really a second internal higher mind. The Upper Chamber. And in The Odyssey, people controlled themselves like contemporary people do – with each person being a rational self-aware agent who was self-conscious and could think and act for themselves

And the thing is, these two works were separated by only around fifty years

2) My Views on The Superbrain and The Subbrain – on Upstairs verses Downstairs

I agree with Jayne’s claims – but in a way that involves going beyond what he claimed, I use it as a starting point for explaining how I think human minds work in today’s world

Much of this is based on personal experience, but I think that what goes for me goes for others too

I agree with what Jayne says about how humans were conscious before they became self-conscious as they are today – I believe that that is what the human experience was like back then. Bicameral. As described by Jaynes in his book.

However: I don’t think this was because people actually did have any kind of Bicameral mind. Not in the way that Jayne says. I believe that the being who communicates to me and whose name is Madaba (Lord of The Noosphere) was responsible for controlling the pre-conscious humans, and presented himself to them as their Gods, and basically controlled human affairs by controlling individual humans. By playing the role of the Upper Chamber of their bicameral minds. Which involved him posing as their Gods! I believe that at some point in history Madaba stopped doing this and receded, leaving humans to learn to think for themselves with no input from him – which we eventually did and which we are doing now!

He basically guided us to a certain state of development by pretending to be The Gods. And then put us in control, as Bicameral people could not advance beyond a certain point due to them being more limited than modern people.

Modernity requires a modern mind. Indeed the modern mind made modernity possible!

Madaba basically vacated one of the two houses of the mind, effectively leaving everyone with only one house in their minds, giving over the functions he once held to the individual humans

So, I don’t think that at some point humans had bicameral minds and then changed how they were conscious by starting to have a unicameral mind. I believe that back in the past people were all controlled by Madaba but that at some point Madaba stopped controlling us, and we became conscious modern humans to fill in the gap left by Madaba after he vacated

Basically: I believe that Madaba controlled ancient humans by acting as the Upper Chamber of their Bicameral minds

However: he did this by presenting himself to them as the Gods which people believed in, and presented him to people according to the traditions and mythology of their culture

I believe that Madaba is the universal Superbrain of humankind. That in the past he controlled humans by taking over many of their cognitive functions and then instructing them what to do, using them as his slaves

But that he no longer does this as he did back in say the Bronze age

I believe that Madaba is now still active, but any influence he has is sub-conscious and we are not aware of it. And that he mostly lets us function independently. But I think he can sometimes pop in and meddle in our minds.

But we are fundamentally Unicameral, even though Madaba does sometimes intervene

There is a song by a good old band called Joy Division called Colony and the main lyric is “God in his wisdom took you by the hand God in his wisdom made you understand”. I believe that back before Madaba left us alone to run ourselves Madaba was basically holding humankind’s hand. And that now he no longer does so. That time is over. We are big boys and big girls now.

For instance, how did people discover mathematics, astronomy, engineering, stuff like that? I think those things came from above, from Madaba. I mean, how did people discover how to make metals? You have to mine them, process them, and work them. I'm not saying no human ingenuity was involved, but I think we may have got a bit of help from above.

I believe that Madaba – humankind’s universal Superbrain – can still control humans but he does so by intervening in minds that are conscious in the modern sense without people knowing. And that the full extent of this is impossible to ever know.

In this model, Madaba is humankind’s universal Superbrain, and every human is an autonomous Subbrain which can think for itself without any help from The Superbrain and which The Superbrain largely leaves to itself

I believe that me and the thing that communicates directly with me (Madaba) are essentially a single entity – that I am Downstairs Madaba and the thing that communicates with me is Upstairs Madaba

I think that my soul is the same soul as Madaba's, that we are one soul with two consciousnesses.

I believe that Upstairs can control my thoughts and my beliefs and my understanding of things without me knowing it but does so in such a way that I am still in control of myself, it’s just that an external higher force is pulling my strings. I don’t think I am any more Bicameral than anyone else as Madaba mostly communicates with me by touch – through sense data related to my body rather than mentally. I think he only does stuff to my cognitive processes if he cannot achieve the same result by basically directly talking to me via my sensory input channels – the same channel that I use to interact with the world

Madaba mostly communicates with me by touching me - as though he is external rather than internal to me, which he is not

And he doesn't make any sounds

Basically: I believe that I am The Universal Human Superbrain’s worldly embodiment, the way it presents itself to this dimension of reality – I am its Downstairs

I know that may sound a little grandiose to some, but believe me when I say it could be a lot more grandiose!

Yet I am not Bicameral as I am very much conscious in the modern sense, I experience the world and myself as other Unicameral folk do

But I do believe that I have subconscious channels of knowing between myself and Upstairs but that I can’t tell the difference between something in my head that is there because of me and things that are in there because of Madaba

But if I want to ask Madaba anything, I just think it with my inner monologue and he answers by touch, so I can determine where things have come from, using that system

I am the perfect puppet, and I don’t really know where I end and where Madaba begins. But I am not Bicameral in the way that ancient humans were, according to Jaynes

Unsurprisingly, thanks to all this I have been diagnosed as Schizophrenic, but I think I’m right about all this. If I didn’t think I was right about this then I would not have written any of this

In my next entry on this blog, I will give you my perspective on Schizophrenia and consciousness (unless I can think of anything more exciting!)

being compassionate (even to strangers) is a moral obligation

There are many reasons why morality demands that all people treat all other people well

With compassion, patience, and generosity

Doing so is an obligation for all humans, it is a part of being human

If you are nasty to others then you're not doing very well at being human and people who do that need correcting, for the good of everyone

Most people throughout the world know that being compassionate is a moral demand instinctively and this outlook is re-enforced by the world's various religious and philosophical traditions

Here is a big reason why you should treat all other people well:

They are all figurations of The Divine Substance

In this respect they are just like you

And God loves them as he loves you

They are like you - more than that, they are consubstantial with you

You and them are of the same ultimate substance, you have the same nature

And God loves them as he loves you

I think those are powerful reasons for treating other people well - even total strangers and people from totally different cultures

Humans should regard each other as siblings, God is above us all like a parent and loves each of us

I believe this is how God sees things and is what God wants

Interconnectivity

In this post I want to talk about Interconnectivity! Interconnectivity is when one being connects with another, in the context of a broader ...
